Tape-in hair extensions: how Invisible Tape Weft works
A tape-in is held by an adhesive strip pressed on either side of a section of natural hair. Invisible Tape Weft is the most discreet, most seamless tape-in in the Dani Steel line.
How it is built
Invisible Tape Weft is a weft of injected strands on 0.2 mm transparent PU tape. The injected tape is fused directly with the weft, creating a scalp-flush hold that mimics natural hair growth.
The tape is gentle, skin-friendly transparent PU, for a seamless, discreet finish. Each strand is aligned by hand to blend with natural hair, staying hidden even in fine hair — full-length premium human hair with aligned cuticle (Remy).
How it is applied
In-salon, by a trained professional: sandwich-style tape-in, cold fusion, about 5–10 minutes per weft. The weft can be cut with no shedding, so it can be customized at each application.
Who it suits
Fine, medium and thick hair, per your professional's recommendation. The ultra-thin 0.2 mm tape stays hidden even at the crown and temples.
Maintenance and reuse
Professional maintenance every 6–8 weeks: the tape is removed with a solvent and replaced, reusing the same weft.
Caring for it at home
Keep oils, moisturizers and scalp lotions away from the tape, and use sulfate-free products. Avoid excessive heat near the tape, which can soften it, and use heat protection with a dryer and hot tools. The weft itself does not retain moisture.
